In Defense of Democracy

The way to secure good government is to elect good people to office.

The next election is always the most important election. From the moment Trump emerged as the face of the former Republican Party, Democrats have existed in a state of political frenzy. Vote Blue is more a survival strategy than an election tagline.

We approach the midterm elections, November 8, 2022, with the threat of literally voting in the last Democratic contest in the United States. It is not hyperbole to suggest Republicans will close the curtain on the great American experiment if they gain control of Congress.

For a Representative Democracy to be sustained citizens must participate in the governing process. In states nationwide, Republicans are utilizing their abilities to replace the will of the majority with the will of the minority. Should they control the Senate in 2025, make no mistake about it; They will certify the election if a Democrat is to be sworn in.

So, indeed, Midterm Elections in 2022, are the most important test of Democracy in the history of the United States of America.

Fourteen incumbent Democrats are running for reelection in the Senate. There is not one seat America can withstand losing. Republicans are intent on instituting a Fascist, totalitarian government if they gain the majority.

We, Democratic Voters, are the last line of defense to hold them off.

Vote Blue to Hold the Senate. Democracy depends on us.
